Script
The written text of the video before filming or animation: what will be said, in what order, and what will be seen.
The script settles the content before the form. For a short video it fits in a few lines: a hook, the main idea, a proof or an example, and what the viewer should do next.
Writing before filming saves time everywhere: fewer takes, less editing, fewer “ums”. Read it aloud with a stopwatch: it is the only way to know whether it fits the length you want.
An accountant’s script opens with: “Do you keep your receipts? Here are the three your accountant will ask for.”
