What people ask us

Short answers, written by the team. The studio chat knows them too: ask it, and it answers in the same words.

When something gets stuck

The engine isn’t responding

The studio shows “The engine isn’t responding right now”. Your sentence isn’t lost: it stays in the field. A video already in production carries on by itself, even if the page closes; when you reopen it, the thread picks up where it left off.

Out of credits

A video costs one credit, taken when production starts. A video that fails gives its credit back. When you have none left, the studio says so before starting anything.

A YouTube video refused

Emodio edits public YouTube videos of fifteen minutes at most. A private, deleted, members-only or overly long video is refused, with the reason shown under the field. Cut out the part you care about, or upload the file yourself (the same fifteen-minute limit applies to a file).

A file refused

Emodio takes images (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF), videos (MP4, MOV, WebM) and audio (MP3, WAV, M4A), up to 100 MB per file. Beyond that, shorten the video or export it lighter (1080p is enough). Attaching a file confirms you have the right to use it.

A production error

Nothing fails silently: the video’s screen says what got stuck and gives the credit back. “Try again” restarts the same request; “Try again and e-mail me” writes to you when it’s ready. If it gets stuck twice in the same place, write to us: the reason is already in the message.
