Voice-over
A voice you hear without seeing the person speaking: it tells the story while the picture shows something else.
The voice-over carries explainer videos and motion design: you see diagrams, a product, animated text, and the voice ties it together. It can be recorded by you, by a voice actor, or be a synthetic voice.
A good voice-over is written for the ear: short sentences, one key word per sentence, nothing you wouldn’t say out loud. Read your script aloud before recording; wherever you stumble, cut.
On Emodio, the synthetic voices speak English, French, German and Italian.
For a booking app, you watch the screen fill up while the voice-over explains the three steps.
